Monthly Tip
Make sure the operating light is on. Push the test button for alarm. Open the unit and clean out any dust or debris. Replace batteries whenever the unit makes a “chirping” sound or fails to operate properly.

Summer Tips
Clean the dirt and lint from inside your washing machine by wiping the interior with a clean, damp cloth. Then run a short hot wash cycle with detergent and rinse the empty machine with a plain water cycle. Some washers may need to be disinfected with bleach.
Check the vent for your clothes dryer. Make sure it’s free of lint and other obstructions. (indoor and outdoor)
Store summer clothing.

Prepare your family by building or buying a Disaster Supplies Kit containing water, non-perishable food, clothing, bedding, special medical supplies and an emergency kit.
